# Migrating from Notion

Docvora supports importing existing documentation from Notion, allowing organisations to migrate their knowledge bases without manually recreating pages and content.

The migration process supports transferring Notion pages, including their sub-pages, database rows, formatting and images.

Existing content within Notion is not modified during the migration.

Before Getting Started

To begin migrating from Notion, an internal integration and its integration secret are required.

Unlike other migration methods, Notion requires individual pages to be shared with an integration before their content can be accessed.

The following requirements must be met:

Notion integration: An internal integration created within the Notion workspace.

Integration secret: The authentication secret generated when creating the integration.

Page access: The integration must be connected to each top-level page intended for migration.

Sub-pages within shared pages are automatically included in the migration.

Docvora only uses the provided integration secret during the migration process and does not store it.
