Getting Started
Docvora is a documentation platform for creating, organising and publishing searchable documentation.
It can be used for internal team knowledge, public documentation, customer help content and community resources, all within the same platform.
Docvora is designed to keep documentation structured, easy to maintain and easy to find.
Documentation can be organised into spaces and pages, making it possible to separate content by product, team, audience or purpose.
Content can be created for internal use or published for a wider audience depending on the documentation being built.
Common uses for Docvora include:
Product and feature documentation
Internal company wikis
Employee guides and processes
Customer knowledge bases
Help centres and support documentation
Developer and API documentation
Community guides and resources
Policies, procedures and reference material
A space is used to group related documentation together.
For example, separate spaces could be created for product documentation, internal processes and developer documentation.
Pages contain the documentation itself and are organised within spaces.
A page can cover a single topic, feature, process or piece of reference information.
Public documentation is content intended to be accessible outside an organisation, such as product guides, help centres or API documentation.
For example, this page is public documentation.
Internal documentation is content intended for use within a team or organisation, such as processes, policies, onboarding information and internal reference material. Internal pages are generally permission locked.
A knowledge base is a collection of documentation designed to make information easy to search, browse and reference.
