Getting Started
Account settings in Docvora provide access to profile details, password management and multi-factor authentication.
The account page can be opened from the account option in the top-right corner of any page.
The account page contains the profile settings available for the current account.
The following details can be managed:
Email address
Profile image
Password
Multi-factor authentication
The account name cannot be changed directly from the profile page. Staff with the required permissions can update the name where needed.
Other account details that are not shown as editable cannot be changed from the profile page.
The account password can be changed from the account settings.
The current password must be entered before a new password can be saved.
Strong passwords are recommended for all accounts. Site administrators can also configure password strength requirements that passwords must meet.
Multi-factor authentication, or MFA, adds an additional verification step when signing in.
MFA is available to all accounts on all Docvora plans.
MFA can be enabled from the account settings.
During setup, Docvora displays a QR code that can be scanned using an authenticator application that supports six-digit authentication codes.
Compatible applications include services such as Google Authenticator and Microsoft Authenticator.
Once configured, the authenticator application generates the six-digit code required during authentication.
Recovery codes are also provided during setup and should be stored somewhere secure in case access to the authenticator application is lost.
When MFA has not been configured, Docvora can use an email verification code for new or unrecognised sign-ins.
This provides an additional verification step even when an authenticator application has not been connected.
MFA is normally enabled individually from the account settings.
Enterprise plans can require MFA to be enabled across all accounts, providing an additional security requirement for the entire documentation site.
